About us
Creanda was a direct result of her experience as an artist/educator in the UK and overseas. Academically trained as an art historian, she then trained and worked in education development for galleries, museums and The National Trust for Scotland. She has since qualified and worked as a specialist teacher in primary schools, both in the UK and in Africa, focussing on developing quality creative processes in art teaching and learning and integrating visual literacy within the creative curriculum. Alongside teaching she has developed visual art and literacy workshops, resources and courses for diverse contexts and for all age groups and abilities. As a practitioner in painting, ceramics and stone-carving, she exhibits her work in galleries, and other settings.
There is a growing network of artist/educators who partner with Creanda to plan and deliver projects and workshops in different settings. All Creanda artist/educators have professional educational experience and are committed to creative development in their own art form, sharing a gift for encouraging creativity in the widest sense.
